I Think I Finally Found Our SPF ☀️ Meet SPOOGE
I have been contemplating bringing in a really good daily facial SPF for what feels like forever.
If you have ever talked skincare with me, you probably already know how I feel about sunscreen. You can invest in the serums, the treatments, the microneedling, the injectables, and the expensive skincare - but if you aren’t protecting your skin from the sun every day, you’re missing one of the most important parts of your routine.
SPF is arguably the most important skincare product you can own.
The problem? I didn’t want to bring in just any sunscreen.
I wanted something top-notch, skincare-focused, easy to wear every day, and still affordable enough that you don’t feel guilty actually using the amount you’re supposed to use.
And I think I finally nailed it. 😉
Meet our newest addition to The IVy Collective: SPOOGE.
Yes. SPOOGE. 😂
And if nothing else, I sure picked a brand that fits in around here perfectly.
The names are witty, the branding doesn’t take itself too seriously, and underneath all of that personality is a dermatologist-developed, mineral-based sunscreen line made with daily skin protection in mind.
Basically… very IVy.
So, What’s So Good About SPOOGE?
SPOOGE was co-founded by double board-certified Mohs surgeon Dr. Whitney Hovenic after years of treating skin cancer - including in younger patients. The idea was pretty simple: create sunscreen people would actually want to wear.
Their formulas use non-nano zinc oxide for broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection, and the line is dermatologist-developed, vegan and Leaping Bunny certified. The formulas are also made without oxybenzone, octinoxate, parabens and phthalates.
But my favorite part is that there isn’t just one sunscreen for everyone. There are different formulas depending on what you want your SPF to actually do.
💦 DEW ME — Face SPF 30
My dry-skin/glowy-skin girls, this one has your name all over it.
Dew Me is a mineral facial SPF 30 designed to hydrate while leaving behind a sheer, golden, dewy glow.
It contains hyaluronic acid for hydration, niacinamide to help brighten and calm, allantoin to soothe, and iron oxides that contribute to its glow.
Think less “I have sunscreen on” and more “why does your skin look so good today?”
If you like that healthy, hydrated, glowy finish - or your skin tends to run on the dry side - Dew Me is probably going to be your girl.
👻 GHOSTED — Face SPF 30
For my people who want their sunscreen to show up for work and then disappear.
Ghosted is an oil-free, water-resistant mineral SPF 30 with a lightweight, cloud-like feel that blends into the skin without leaving you feeling like you’re wearing a heavy layer of sunscreen.
It contains bisabolol, vitamin E and squalane to help calm, condition and hydrate the skin.
If you’re combination/oily, don’t want the extra glow, or simply want a really wearable everyday facial SPF that plays nicely with the rest of your routine, get Ghosted.
Invisible protection. Hence the name. 😉
🍑 CHEEKY — Face + Body SPF 30
Okay, this one is FUN.
Cheeky is a shimmer-packed mineral SPF 30 for the face and body that leaves behind a satin, highlighted finish.
And yes - the cheeks they’re referring to are both sets. 😂
It can be used on your face, neck, décolletage, hands, body… and, according to SPOOGE themselves, your butt cheeks.
The formula includes ingredients like caffeine, magnesium, iron oxides, hyaluronic acid and uva-ursi leaf extract, with a focus on giving the skin a brighter, smoother, slightly blurred appearance.
SPF + glow + body shimmer?

☀️ THE OG — Face + Body SPF 50
If you want the straightforward, everyday workhorse of the group, meet The OG.
This is their SPF 50 mineral sunscreen for both face and body. It’s designed to be lightweight and non-greasy while blending into the skin without the chalky, sticky sunscreen experience nobody wants.
The formula includes aloe leaf juice, vitamin C, vitamin E, postbiotics and sodium hyaluronate, so you’re getting hydration and antioxidant-focused skincare ingredients along with your SPF.
This is the one I see being tossed into gym bags, purses, beach bags and pool bags all summer long.
One bottle. Face + body. SPF 50. Done.
⛷️ FACE SHOTS — Face + Body SPF 30
And because apparently they weren’t finished with the names… Face Shots. 😂
This one is a little different. Face Shots is their high-altitude, water-resistant SPF 30 designed with skiing, snowboarding, wind, sweat and mountain conditions in mind.
It’s formulated with ingredients including ceramides, aloe, vitamin E and several moisturizing plant butters and oils.
We might not exactly be skiing the Rockies here in Central Illinois, but it’s a great reminder that SPF isn’t just a summer thing. UV exposure doesn’t disappear because it’s cold or cloudy - and snow can reflect UV rays right back at you.
